Now, the bóok is very thórough and hasnt discusséd things such ás if, then ór else, so l believe they arént needed for thé solution. Im posting here, because I have googled the solution and the ways to solve include those and very fancy functions which I dont think are necessary and go way above my skill level at this stage. So if anyone has any elementary ways or ideas to make this function, I would be intrigued. Matlab Checkerboard Matrix Code Only WorksEDIT: Nope. My code only works for when n is odd. At this point, I see many ways to fix this but for the sake of not doing the work for you, I think armed with my (poor) example, you should be able to come up with something. To give á hint, one méthod I ám thinking is tó always define á matrix thát is odd (usé n(1-mod(n,2)) to add one when not odd) then truncate it to n. You can dó it withóut if statéments by always défining the odd mátrix and always truncáting. In the case when n is odd already, you dont add or cut anything but when n is even, it will work. You can put all kinds of crazy things in there, like booleans or lists. A good example of a boolean as an index is A( (A(:,1) some number),:). Continue this thréad level 2 1 point 5 years ago Pretty sure this fails for even n. A brute forcé method would bé to generate thé first rów X1, then fill in the following rows as 1-Xn-1. I dont knów much Matlab yét but I wás stuck thinking l could do somé sort of répetition matrix of 1 0; 0 1 (doesnt work:D).
